With the Clash V2 98 Tennis Racquet, Wilson improves on their most flexible performance frame. For starters, the look is revamped with an anodized infrared finish and embossed Clash logo. Similar to the Blade V8 racquets, the Clash 98 features the biodegradable Agiplast bumper and grommets which reduce waste while maintaining high performance. Wilson`s FortyFive frame technology features updated carbon mapping which improves the racquet`s flex, but it also still maintains best-in-class stability. With version 2, Wilson re-engineered the construction of the top of the frame for greater precision and a softer feel at contact. The enhancement results in a 16% larger sweet spot when compared to version 1.0. Another change from the previous model, is the new 16x20 string pattern which should provide greater control and string durability for big hitters. The Wilson Clash V2 98 is 10.9 ounces unstrung, and it holds its own against pace better than the lighter Clash models. The revised construction at the tip, denser string pattern, and larger sweet spot should appeal to advanced players who were on the fence about switching to version 1. Keep in mind, the Clash 98 is the most control oriented of all the Clash racquets, and it features a thinner 24 millimeter beam as well.
Features:
-More dense 16x20 pattern for better control and string durability.
-Revised tip construction improves sweet spot and feel higher in the stringbed.
-The 98 is the most precise of all the Clash models with the smallest head and thinnest beam.
-Arm friendly, yet stable.
